    § 5922. Appropriate public authorities [Contingently repealed; Effective until contingency met]

    The “appropriate public authorities” as used in Article II of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children shall, with reference to this State, mean the Department for Children and Families, and the Department shall receive and act with reference to notices required by Article III.     This State’s “government child welfare agency or child protection agency,” “public child placing agency,” and “central state compact office” is the Department for Children and Families. (Contingently added 2021, No. 101 (Adj. Sess.), § 2.)
