§ 35. Further duties of the trustees relating to water
It shall be the duty of the trustees under the direction of the corporation, to have
the care and management of the Water Department; they shall make all necessary rules
and regulations for the government and operation of the waterworks belonging to said
corporation; they shall appoint a Superintendent and may remove the Superintendent
at pleasure; and shall assess all water rates or taxes, and under the direction of
the corporation, provide for the collection of the same, and shall examine all bills
and claims connected with the Water Department, and if they find them to be just,
shall certify on such bills their approval of the same. (Added 1892, No. 114, § 35; amended 1933, No. 193, § 2.)
