§ 62. Preparation and submission of budget
At least 30 days before the date of the annual Town meeting, the Selectboard shall
adopt a proposed budget. The budget shall contain:
(1) an estimate of the financial condition of the Town as of the end of the fiscal year
and as of the date of submission of the budget;
(2) an itemized statement of appropriations recommended for operating expenses and capital
improvements for the proposed fiscal year budget with comparative statements in parallel
columns of budgeted and actual expenditures for the preceding fiscal year;
(3) an itemized statement of estimated revenues from all sources other than taxes for
the proposed fiscal year budget, a statement of anticipated revenues from taxes required
for the proposed fiscal year budget, and comparative statements in parallel columns
of budgeted and actual revenues for the preceding fiscal year;
(4) a capital plan for the next five fiscal years, showing anticipated capital expenditures
and financing and revenue sources; and
(5) any other information that the Selectboard may decide to include. (Added 2023, No. M-14, § 2, eff. July 1, 2023.)
