§ 101. Corporate existence
The geographical area as described in subchapter 14 of this chapter shall hereafter
be known by the name of the Village of North Bennington, and by that name may have
perpetual succession, may sue and be sued, prosecute, and defend in any court, may
have a common seal and alter it at pleasure, may purchase, take, hold, and convey
real and personal estate for the use or benefit of said Village, and generally shall
have, exercise, and enjoy all the rights, immunities, and privileges, and shall be
subject to the duties, liabilities, and obligations that are incident to public corporations
