§ 608. Consequences of declining genetic testing
(a) If a person whose parentage is being determined under this chapter declines to submit
to genetic testing ordered by the court, the court for that reason may adjudicate
parentage contrary to the position of that person.
(b) Genetic testing of the person who gave birth to a child is not a condition precedent
to testing the child and an individual whose parentage is being determined under this
chapter. If the person who gave birth is unavailable or declines to submit to genetic
testing, the court may order the testing of the child and every person whose genetic
parentage is being adjudicated. (Added 2017, No. 162 (Adj. Sess.), § 1.)
