UNIFORM ACT TO SECURE THE ATTENDANCE OF WITNESSES FROM WITHOUT THE STATE IN CRIMINAL CASES

§ 6641. Definitions
As used in this subchapter, “action” shall include any proceeding or investigation
by a grand jury commenced or about to be commenced, or any action, prosecution or
proceeding; “witness” shall include a person whose testimony is desired in any such
action; and the word “state” shall include any territory of the United States and
District of Columbia.
