Chapter 143 : Habeas Corpus
(Cite as: 12 V.S.A. § 3978)-
§ 3978. Penalty for not executing writ
A person neglecting or refusing to receive and execute a writ of habeas corpus shall forfeit to the person aggrieved $400.00, to be recovered in an action of tort on this statute.
