(Cite as: 10 V.S.A. § 4554)
-
§ 4554. Procedure on failure to appear; notice
If a defendant fails to appear or answer an information or summons served upon him
or her, the court shall immediately report the name of the defendant and other pertinent
facts to the Commissioner. The Commissioner shall mail a notice to the defendant

Nothing in this subchapter shall prevent the court from issuing an arrest warrant
or punishing the defendant for contempt. (Added 1977, No. 229 (Adj. Sess.); amended 1981, No. 85, § 6, eff. May 7, 1981.)
