She holds positions on the boards of the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC), Leadership Champlain, and is a member of Vermont Professionals of Color. Deeply involved in the arts, Stone has performed with various local and statewide dance and theatre companies, including Ballet Vermont and Lyric Theatre. Her leadership has been recognized through fellowships such as the Dolores Huerta and Barbara Jordan Women’s Leadership Fellowship, the Vermont Council on World Affairs Global Leaders Fellowship, The German Marshall Fund’s Transatlantic Inclusive Leaders Network fellowship, the Future Caucus Innovation Lab’s Strengthening Democracy, and Prenatal to Three programs. In May 2024, Rep. Stone was a keynote panelist at the Election Science, Research, and Administration Conference hosted by the USC Schwarzenegger Institute, discussing best practices in election administration. She resides in Burlington, Vermont, with her husband, Ryan, an Air Force Reserve pilot, and their rescued Aussiedoodle, Rigby Jane.
