Biography
ERIC MAGUIRE of Rutland City representing Rutland-5 district, was born in Hyannis, Massachusetts. He moved to Rutland City in 2010. Eric earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and did graduate studies in Human Services/Criminal Justice.
He assisted in the development and implementation of the Transitional Housing and Re-entry Program of the Vermont Achievement Center, and also served as the director of those programs.
Eric is the Board President of Rutland Turning Point, Vice President of the Board of Recovery Partners of Vermont, and sits on the Board of the Rutland Restorative Justice Center. In his spare time, Eric enjoys walking his dog and putting together Lego architecture sets. He has an adult son.
