- ARTHUR J. L. PETERSON of Clarendon, Rutland County, Republican, representing Rutland District 2 including the towns of Clarendon, West Rutland, Wallingford, Tinmouth, and Proctor. He is a United States Military Academy (West Point) graduate, class of 1973 and has resided in Clarendon since 1978. Art is married, has four grown children and twelve grandchildren. He is a veteran of the United States Army. He was the founder of the Mill River Union High School football program in the 1990s and its head coach from 2008-2013. He has worked with area youths as a coach and scout leader for many years. He is a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wallingford. He has served on the MRUHS school board. He worked as an engineer in the telecommunications industry for over 40 years and is a Notary Public. He enjoys sports, hunting, gardening, travel, and his grandkids.
