- JOSEPH PARSONS of Newbury, Orange country, Republican, was born and raised in Bradford Vermont. Shortly after high school (Oxbow) he started working in the flooring trade at Valley Floors in Bradford 2005- present. He met his wife Jenna in 2004 while she was attending nursing school at the University of Vermont. They now have 2 young children and enjoy living the homesteading lifestyle. He was elected to the Newbury select board in 2019 and subsequently became a member of the budget committee as well as the board of civil authority. He was appointed road commissioner in 2020.
