Biography
Carolyn W. Partridge of Windham, Windham County, Democrat, was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, moved to Vermont in 1972, and became a resident of present town in May 1985. Occupation: Self-employed farmer and seamstress. She was educated at Westfield High School, Westfield, New Jersey; New York University, New York, New York (bachelor’s degree in oceanography). She is married to Alan and they have three sons, two granddaughters and one grandson. Member of: Windham School Board; Windham Regional Commissioner and Executive Board Member; Windham Community Organization. She serves on the Board of Neighborhood Connections in Londonderry. Cochair of the Council of State Governments Eastern Regional Conference in 2009 and currently chairs the CSG-ERC Annual Meeting Committee. She Cochairs the Northeast States Association for Agricultural Stewardship (NSAAS), a CSG affiliate. In 2018, she received the Stephanie Bourdeau Leadership in Agriculture Award from the Vermont Farm Bureau. Chair of the House Agriculture and Forestry Committee. She served as the Assistant Minority Leader in 2003 and 2004 and Majority Leader from 2005-2008. Member of the House: 1999-present.
