- Lucy Rogers was born in Waterville, Vermont. She attended Waterville Elementary School, graduated from Lamoille Union High School, and received an honors degree in Biology from the University of Vermont. Lucy grew up balancing schoolwork with milking her family's cow each morning, gardening, and sugaring.
Lucy has worked for family-owned, agricultural businesses both in Vermont and throughout the country, including a birch syrup business in Alaska, a beef cattle ranch in the Rocky Mountains, and various local dairy farms. She is committed to using her position in the Vermont House to address the common challenges facing rural places.
Lucy also has a background in wildlife genetics and conservation. She presented original research on improving public representation in wildlife management decisions at the 2018 International Conference on Bear Research and Management in Ljulbljana, Slovenia.
Lucy currently serves as a board member of Cold Hollow to Canada. She enjoys long-distance running, reading, and visiting with neighbors. She is committed to accessibility and can be reached by phone or email.
