Biography
LORI HOUGHTON of Essex Junction, Chittenden 8-2, Democrat, was born in Washington, D.C. and has lived in Essex Junction since 2002. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Psychology from University of Pittsburgh and a Masters of Arts in Organizational Management from George Washington University. Lori is a graduate of the Vermont Leadership Institute. Lori has worked in various sales, management, and leadership roles with both TransUnion and LexisNexis. She is currently a full-time sales operations specialist with LexisNexis. She is serving her third term as Essex Junction Village Trustee. In addition to being a village trustee, she is a school volunteer and has served in various roles within community organizations including Essex Junction Parks and Recreation, Heart and Soul of Essex, and Five Corners Farmers Market. She worked to receive a Building Healthy Community Grant that resulted in the Essex Junction Bike Walk Committee. Lori lives in Essex Junction with her husband, Jon, and son. They operate Maplehurst Florist, a third-generation family business, as well as Sam's Scoop Shop.
