- SARAH LOUISE COPELAND HANZAS of Bradford, Orange County, Democrat, was born in Illinois and moved to Vermont in 1971. She graduated from Oxbow High School and the university of Vermont where she studied History and Geology. She completed her teaching certification at Upper Valley Educator Institute and taught secondary science in public schools and at Valley Vista in Bradford. She currently owns a small business, The Local Buzz Cafe, on Main Street in Bradford. She and her husband live in Bradford. They have three young-adult children. She has served on the Health care committee and is currently chair of the government operations committee. She serves on the executive committee of the national conference of state legislatures. Member of the house: 05-06-present
