- BETSY DUNN, Chittenden-8-1. I was raised in Metuchen, New Jersey. I received my BA in Education with two minors in Biology and Physical Education. I received my nursing degree. I moved to Essex, VT in October 1986, with my husband, Tom, and our two daughters. I have worked all of that time at the Medical Center in Burlington, most recently as a Labor and Delivery nurse. I have served my Union as a chief steward and my unit’s lead steward for 13 years. I have negotiated six contracts with our administration. I am an avid gardener and I love sailing, reading, and the theatre. I love to learn and am very creative. I am a Progressive Democrat.
