Biography
LINDA JOY SULLIVAN represents the Bennington-Rutland District and is a resident of Dorset, Vermont. Ms. Sullivan is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Vermont, New York, and Florida and operates a PCAOB Registered Accounting firm. She is also the Cofounder, Board Chair, and former Executive Director of a nonprofit organization that has served over 3,000 victims of human trafficking around the United States. She was a Justice of the Peace and member of the Board of Civil Authorities in Dorset prior to running for the House seat. Ms. Sullivan also served on, and was Chair of the Jurisdiction Committee of, the Vermont Council for Children and Family Prevention Programs. Ms. Sullivan earned her B.A. in Psychology from the New School University, an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology, and an LL.M from the Thomas Jefferson Law School, where she obtained a Certificate of Expertise in U.S. Taxation. She is married to Allan James Sullivan, a trial attorney, former federal prosecutor, and currently General Counsel for a State of Vermont agency. Ms. Sullivan has a daughter, Jaime Lynn, who is an upper management professional in Manhattan in the music industry, and a stepdaughter, Sarah Elizabeth, who attends graduate school at Duke University.
