- STEPHEN A. CARR of Brandon, Rutland County, Democrat was born in Rutland, VT. He became a resident of Brandon in 1953. Steve graduated from Otter Valley Union High School, Brandon, VT; Castleton State College, Castleton, VT (BA history/psychology); and has taken various advanced financial courses from the American Institute of Banking. He is self-employed as a consultant to small businesses. Previously a member of: Selectboard; Zoning Board; Porter Hospital Board; Board member and Treasurer Neshobe Golf Club, Inc.; President of Rutland Area Visiting Nurses. Currently, he is the President of the Brandon Industrial Corporation and is a Board Member and Treasurer of the Stephen A. Douglas Birthplace Community Center, Inc. Steve is married to Jane they have a daughter, a son and four grand children.
