- DOUGLAS GAGE is a Republican. Representing District 5-4 in Rutland City. Born in Reading, PA and moved to Vermont in 1976 and graduated from Northfield High School. After high school he enrolled in Vermont Technical College where he studied Land Surveying. After college, Douglas settled in Rutland. He is part of a family line that goes back five generations of Vermonters. Married to Susan and they have two daughters. Since moving to Rutland in 1979, Douglas has been actively involved in his community. He is an environmental advocate, has served as PTO President to the Lincoln/Northwest Elementary, and is currently on the Rutland City School Board. He has been a dedicated Mentor at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility for over five years. He has worked for Coca-Cola for 14 years, where he drives tractor trailer. He is a member of The Church at Rutland.
