- MARCIA R. MARTEL of Waterford, Caledonia County, Republican, was one of fourteen children from the family. She attended Barnet Elementary School and graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy. Married to Rogerl, they moved to Waterford in 1970, have two daughters and five grandchildren. She worked for St. Johnsbury Trucking Company for 23 years until its closing in 1993, then worked for Quest Transportation for nine years and is currently working for Sayles Funeral Home in St. Johnsbury as the office administrator. She is a member of the St. Johnsbury Unit 58 American Legion Auxiliary, also member of the newly organized Charlotte Fairbanks Federation of Republican Women. Past auditor and zoning administrator for the Town of Waterford, and serving as lister since 2006.
