- TIM ASHE of Burlington, Chittenden County, was born in Framingham, MA, on December 10, 1976. Tim graduated from the University of Vermont in 1999, and received a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government in 2004. For the past eight years, Tim has been an affordable housing developer. At Cathedral Square he and his team created or renovated 396 affordable senior apartments with total budgets exceeding $30 million. Tim served on the staff of Congressman Bernie Sanders from 1999-2001. Tim served two terms on the Burlington City Council, where he chaired the City's Community Development and Neighborhood Revitalization Committee. Tim served on the Board of Directors of Spectrum Youth and Family Services. Member of the Senate: 2009-10, 2011-12, 2013-14, 2015-2016. During the 2013-2014 biennium, Tim chaired the Senate Finance Committee and served on the Senate Judiciary Committee, the Joint Fiscal Committee, the Joint Corrections Oversight Committee, and the Emergency Board.
