- DIANE LANPHER of Vergennes, Addison County, Democrat, was born in Buffalo, NY, and became a resident of Vergennes in 1984 with her family. Representative Lanpher graduated from Hilbert College of Hamburg, NY. Diane is married to Jim and they have three grown children and two grandchildren. Diane and Jim recently sold their Horace Mann Insurance agency in So. Burlington, however, they continue to work part time for the new owners. She had been the Training Coordinator for the VT Dept. of Health, Div. of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs, for many years and worked for the New England Institute of Addiction Studies, Augusta, ME, focused on the Vermont Adolescent Treatment Enhancement Grant. Diane has served on the Vergennes City Council for several years and chaired the Vergennes Energy Savings Committee, member of the Addison County Transportation Advisory Board, and current board member of Addison County Transit Resources (ACTR). A member of St. Peter's Church of Vergennes and served on the parish council and was a religious educator for 18 years. Member of the Vergennes Lions Club. Serves on the House Transportation Committee. Appointed to serve on the board of SIB (State Infrastructure Bank), VT Child Poverty Council, member of the Climate Caucus, and invited to co chair the Council of State Government National Transportation Public Policy Committee for 2015-2016. Member of the House 2009-2010, 2011-2012, 2013-2014, 2015-2016.
