§ 19. Designation of polling places
At least 30 days prior to a local, primary, or general election, the City Council, in consultation with the City Clerk’s Office, ward clerks, and inspectors of election, shall determine the number and location of polling places. Polling places shall be located in each ward unless a more accessible facility is available outside the ward that is in as close proximity as possible to the ward in which each voter resides. If more than one polling place is located within the same building, each shall be located so that it is separate and distinct from the others, in accordance with 17 V.S.A. § 2501(e).
