Capitol Police Department

The Capitol Police Department was established in 1999, within the office of the Sergeant at Arms.  Its responsibilities include enforcing Vermont State law, patrol, crime prevention and intervention through providing a proactive police presence, and protecting the Vermont State House, members of the General Assembly, dignitaries, visitors, and staff.
