- Biography
- CHARLES WILSON was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He spent much of his youth in the woods, participating in the Boy Scouts, and learning to hunt and fish with his father. He attended local school before going on to the Fishburne Military School in Waynesboro, Virginia from which he graduated in 1968. He then attended Lehigh Community College and Westchester State College. After college, Charles ran his own courier business for four years then worked as an orderly at the Good Shepherd Home, a rehab facility. He was also employed as assistant service manager at Martin VW in Allentown, Pennsylvania and, later, held a management position with Allied Maintenance Corp. out of New York City. After relocating to Vermont in 1986 to indulge his love of skiing, Charles established Wilson Enterprises, a contract painting company that he operated for 25 years. Since 2011, he has owned and operated Cottage Work, a small business. As a volunteer, Charles has done ministry work for the Pennsylvania Prison Society and has volunteered with his wife at the Newport Prison. He has also volunteered for the Northeast Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury. Charles was recently ordained as a minister. In his free time, Charles enjoys golf, hunting, fishing, hiking, traveling, reading, doing research, and birdwatching. He and his wife live in Lyndon.
