William M. MaGill of Moretown, Washington County, was born in Warner Robins, Georgia. Graduated from Virgil I Grissom High School, Huntsville, AL; Mississippi State University (BA Political Science); Vermont Law School (JD 2001). Legal Intern with the Joint Fiscal Office 2001. He started working in the Office of the Clerk of the House in 2003; became First Assistant Clerk in 2004. He has two sons. Member of American Society of Legislative Clerks and Secretaries (Currently Secretary-Treasurer; Former Associate Vice President); Mason's Manual Commission. Former president of the Vermont Philharmonic. Former board member of the Montpelier Chamber Orchestra. Member of the Mississippi State University Track and Field Team. Coach of the Montpelier Middle School Cross Country Team. Coach of the Montpelier Recreation Department Summer Track Program.
